Abstract
Aim:Inourstudy,
weaimedtoevaluatetheetiology, surgicalproceduresandtreatmentresults of
thepatientswhounderwentsurgerywiththediagnosis of entropion in ourclinic.
Method:Thefiles of 35
patientswho had undergonesurgeryduetoentropionwereretrospectivelyreviewed.Surgicalproceduresandsymptomswererecorded
on the 1st day, 10th dayand 4th month.
Casesweregroupedaccordingtosurgicalproceduresandentropioncharacteristics.
Inthepostoperativecontrols, freedom of eyemovements, presence of lashes in
contactwiththecornea, swelling of theeyelashes, scarring on theedge of thelid,
recurrenceandpatientsatisfactionwereevaluated.
Results:Themeanage of
thepatientswas 73 years, 19 (51.35%) weremaleand 18 (48.64%)
werefemale.Uppereyelidwasfound in 26 eyes (70.27%), lowereyelidwasfound in 10
cases (27.02%) andupperandlowereyelidentropionwasfound in oneeye (2.70%).15
eyes (40.54%) had senileand 22 eyes (59.45%) had scatricialentropion.14 eyes
(grup 1)wereoperatedwiththeweisprocedure, 5 (grup 2)eyeswereoperatedwithlateraltarsalstripand
18 (grup 3)eyeswereoperatedwithjonesprocedure.Surgicalinsufficiency in 2
patientsundergoingWiesprocedure, Onepatient
had recurrenceand 12 patients (85.71)
weresatisfiedwiththetreatment.Surgicalfailure of 2 patients in
theJonesprocedure,Recurrencewasobserved in 1 patientand 15 patients (83.33%)
weresatisfiedwiththetreatment.No recurrencewasobserved in
thepatientswhounderwentlateraltarsalstripmethodandallcasesweresatisfied.
Result:Preoperativeexaminationandunderstanding
of pathology in entropionsurgery is importantforthesatisfaction of
thesurgicaloutcome.Tochoosetheappropriatesurgeryaccordingtothepathogenesis,It
is veryimportanttoavoidthepatient'sdiscomfortcomplaints,
topreventthecomplications of entropionwhich can progresstovisionlossand not
togotosurgeryagain.

Abstract
Amaç:
Çalışmamızda kliniğimizde entropiyon tanısı ile
cerrahi tedavi uyguladığımız hastaların etyoloji, cerrahi prosedürlerimiz ve
tedavi sonuçlarımızı değerlendirmeyi amaçladık.
Yöntem
: kliniğimizdeentropiyon nedeni ile
cerrahi geçiren 35 olgunun dosyaları retrospektif olarak tarandı. Olguların
hangi cerrahi prosedürleopere edildiği, postoperatif klinik bulguları ve
semptomları 1. gün, 10. gün ve 4. ayda not edildi. Cerrahi prosedürlere ve
entropiyon özelliklerine göre olgular gruplandırıldı. Postoperatif
kontrollerinde göz hareketlerinin serbestliği, korneaya temas eden kirpiklerin
varlığı, kirpiklerin dışa dönmesi, kapak kenarında skarlaşma, rekürrens ve
hasta memnuniyeti değerlendirildi.
Bulgular:
Olguların yaş ortalaması 73, 19’u(%51.35)
erkek, 18’i(%48.64) kadındı. 26 gözde (%70.27) üst kapak, 10
olguda (%27.02) alt kapak, bir
gözde(%2.70) ise alt ve üst kapak entropiyonu mevcuttu. 15 gözde (%40.54) senil, 22 gözde(%59.45)
skatrisyelentropiyon mevcuttu.14 göz(grup 1)
weis prosedürü ile, 5 göz(grup 2)
lateraltarsalstrip prosedürü ile 18 göz(grup 3) jones prosedürü ile
ameliyat edildi.Wiesprosedürü uyguladığımız 2 hastada cerrahi yetersizlik, 1
hastada rekürrens izlendi ve 12 hasta(85.71) tedaviden memnundu. Jonesprosedürü
uyguladığımız hastaların 2 hastada cerrahi yetersizlik, 1 hastada rekürrens
izlendi ve 15 hasta( %83.33) tedaviden memnundu. Lateraltarsalstrip yöntemi
uyguladığımız hastalarda rekürrens izlenmedi ve olguların hepsi memnundu.
Sonuç:
Entropiyon cerrahi tercihinde preoperatif muayene ve patolojinin
anlaşılması cerrahi sonucunun tatminkarlığı için oldukça önemlidir. Patogenezine
göre uygun cerrahiyi seçmek, hastanın rahatsızlık şikayetlerinin giderilmesi,
entropiyonungörme kaybına kadar ilerleyebilen komplikasyonlarının önlenebilmesi
ve tekrar cerrahiye gitmemek için oldukça önem arz etmektedir.
