Abstract

Amaç: Bu araştırma; pediatrik onkoloji kliniğinde verilen aile merkezli bakım eğitimi öncesi ve

sonrası hekim ve hemşirelerin görüş ve uygulamalarını belirlemek amacı ile yapıldı.

Yöntemler: Yarı deneysel olarak yapılan çalışmaya 11 hemşire ve 4 hekim katıldı. Araştırmanın

verileri; tanıtıcı bilgi formu, hekim ve hemşirelerin aile merkezli bakıma ilişkin görüş ve uygulamalarını

içeren yarı yapılandırılmış soru formu ile toplandı. Veriler içerik analizi yöntemi ile değerlendirildi.

Bulgular: Aile merkezli bakım eğitimi öncesi; hemşirelerden biri aile merkezli bakımın evde yapılan

bir uygulama olduğunu, biri ailenin çocuğun bakım ve tedavisine dahil edilmesi olduğunu,

diğerleri ise aileye destek, bilgi verme olduğunu belirtti. Hekimler aile merkezli bakımı aileyi ve

çocuğu bilgilendirmek, gerektiğinde aileden yardım istemek olarak tanımladılar. Bu araştırmada

hemşireler aile merkezli bakımdaki rollerini; bilgi vermek, bakımı öğretmek, yardımcı olmak

şeklinde tanımlarken, hekimlerden bazıları bilgi vermek, aileye yardım etmek olduğunu belirtti.

Araştırmaya katılan hemşire ve hekimlerin yarısının aile merkezli bakımı bir ekip işi olarak görmediği

saptandı. Verilen eğitim sonrası hemşire ve hekimlerin AMB yaklaşımında olumlu artış bir

olduğu belirlendi.

Sonuç: Hemşire ve hekimlere verilen eğitimin, aile merkezli bakıma ilişkin görüş ve uygulamalarını

geliştirmeye olumlu katkısı olduğu saptandı.

ABSTRACT

Aim: This study was conducted in order to determine views and practices of the doctors and the

nurses before and after family-centered care (FCCtraining providedat pediatric oncology clinic.

Methods: 11 nurses and 4 doctors participated in this quasi-experimental study. The data were

collected by using an introductory information form and a semi-structured questionnaire including

views and practices of doctors and nurses regarding FCC. Data were analysed by in-content

analyses method.

Results: Before the FCC training, one of the nurses stated that FCC was apractice performed at

home, one stated that this care was involvement of family into child’s care and treatment, the

others stated that FCC was support and information given to family as well ascollaboration. The

doctors defined FCC as informing the family and child and asking for help from the family when

required. In this study; while the nurses defined their roles in FCC as informing, teaching to give

the care, and helping, some of the doctors described their roles in this care as informing and

helping for family. It was determined that half of the nurses and the doctors participating in the

study did not consider the family-centered care as a team work. After the training, a positive

increase was found in FCC approach of the nurses and the doctors.

Conclusion: The training provided to the nurses and the doctors was determined to contribute

positively for improving views and practices regarding FCC .
