Wunderlich's syndrome as the fatal complication of a renal angiomyolipoma: a case report and review of the literature
Abstract
Wunderlich
syndrome (WS) is a rare acute abdominal condition, which is characterized with spontaneous nontraumatic
renal haemorrhage into the subcapsular and perirenal spaces. Renal cell
carcinoma, angiomyolipoma, renal cysts, vasculitis or blood dyscrasias are
among the known risk factors. We
report a case of Wunderlich's syndrome in an 59 year old woman associated with
massive retroperitoneal hemorrhage.

Abstract
Wunderlich sendromu (WS), subkapsüler ve perirenal boşluklara nonumumatik renal kanama ile ilişkili nadir bir akut karın hastalığıdır. Renal hücreli karsinom, anjiyomiyolipom, böbrek kistleri, vaskülit veya kan disprasileri bilinen risk faktörleri arasındadır. Masif retroperitoneal kanama ile ilişkili 59 yaşındaki bir kadın hastada Wunderlich sendromu olgusunu sunuyoruz.
