ARTHROSCOPIC EXCISION AND DEBRIDEMENT OF INTRA ARTICULAR GANGLION CYSTS ORIGINATING FROM HOFFA FAD PED IN THE KNEE
Abstract
Ganglion cysts can be seen in various parts of the body. Intra-articular ganglion cysts can be seen with localized swelling of the knee or detected during MR imaging coincidentally. Ganglion cysts may originate from the anterior cruciate ligament, the menisci, the popliteus tendon, and the infrapatellar fat tissue, Hoffa. Excision of intra-articular knee ganglion cysts can be performed with open surgical procedure or arthroscopy assisted. Arthroscopically assisted ganglion cystic excision surgery is superior to open surgery in terms of reduced surgical morbidity, lower probability of restraint in the post-op period and patient comfort. The Surgeon should be careful not to leave residual ganglion cyst wall in arthroscopy procedure. Arthroscopic debridement is an easy and low morbidity surgical treatment for intra-knee ganglion cysts.

Abstract
Ganglion kistleri vücudun çeşitli yerlerinde görülebilir. Diz içi ganglion kistleri dizde lokalize şişlik ile yada MR görüntüleme esnasında rastlantısal olarak belirlenir. Ganglion kistleri genellikle ön çapraz bağdan, menisküslerden, popliteus tendonundan ve infrapatellar yağ dokusu olan Hoffadan köken alabilirler. Diz içi ganglion kistlerinin cerrahi tedavisinde açık cerrahi yaklaşımlarla eksizyon yada artroskopi yardımlı eksizyon yapılabilir. Artroskopi yardımlı ganglion kisti eksizyonu cerrahi morbiditesinin azalığı, post op dönemde hareket kısıtlılığı olasılığının daha düşük olması ve hasta konforu açısından açık cerrahiye göre daha üstün bir yöntemdir. Artroskopik cerrahide rezidü ganglion kist duvarı bırakılmamasına özen gösterilmelidir. Diz içi ganglion kistlerinin cerrahi tedavisinde artroskopik debridman kolay ve morbiditesi düşük bir yöntemdi.
