Abstract
Allergic rhinitis is a commonly encountered chronic respiratory disease in children characterized by nasal symptoms such as rhinorrhea, nasal obstruction, sneezing. Evdience based approach has started to be used in follow up of these patients in recent years due to better understanding of the disease, new diagnostic modalities and preparation of global guidelines. The aim of AR treatment is to control disease symptoms, prevent development of complications and improve quality of life. Education and increasing the awareness of patients, protection from allergens, pharmacological treatment and specific immunotherapy is undertaken for this purpose. The aim of this review is to present AR treatment and follow up, in the light of currentguidelines.

Öz
Allerjik rinit (AR), çocukluk çağında sık görülen, burun akıntısı, tıkanıklık, hapşırma gibi nazal semptomlarla karakterize kronik solunum yolu hastalığıdır. Son yıllarda hastalığın daha iyi aydınlatılması, yeni tanısal yöntemler ve global rehberlerin hazırlanması ile allerjik rinitli hastaların izleminde kanıta dayalı yaklaşım uygulanmaya başlanmıştır. AR tedavisinde amaç, hastalığın semptomlarını kontrol altına almak, komplikasyon gelişimini engellemek ve yaşam kalitesini arttırmaktır. Bu amaç-la, hastaların eğitimi ve bilinçlendirilmesi, allerjenden korunma, farmakolojik tedavi ve spesifik immunoterapi uygulanmaktadır. Bu derlemenin amacı, AR tedavisive izleminin güncel rehberler eşliğinde sunulmasıdır.
