THE EVALUATION OF PLASMA GLUTAMİNE LEVELS BY TWO METHODS

Abstract

İt has been knovvn a method used analysis of glutamine in blood plasma combined with thin layer chromatography (TLCSPC). Our aim was to compare this method (TLC-SPC) with 'TLC-Scanner' procedure combined with thin layer chromatography developed by us. With this aim, we collected blood from 35 healthy volunteer controls and separated their plasma. After the extraction procedure, glutamine was separated by thin layer chromatography and quantative analysis was carried out in "TLC-Scanner" and spectrophotometer. Glutamine results, obtained by spectrophotometric procedure in plasma samples taken from healthy controls were complied with the results of 'TLC-Scanner' (correlation coefficient, r: 0.883).
