Abstract
Leptospirosis caused by Leptospira interrogans is an acute, febrile, zoonotic disease of worldwide distribution. Humans become infected by direct or indirect contact with infected animals. A 73-year-old male patient with a history of a rat bite in his ear and complaints of fatigue, generalized body and headache and dyspnea was diagnosed with leptospirosis and admitted to the intensive care unit. Here we report on a case of Weil's disease with icterus, thrombocytopenia and acute renal failure.
Abstract
Leptospirozis, Leptospira interrogans tarafından oluşturulan ve tüm dünyada yaygın olarak görülen akut, febril, zoonotik bir enfeksiyon hastalığıdır. İnsanlara enfekte hayvanlardan direkt veya indirekt temas sonucu bulaşır. Kulak kepçesinden fare tarafından ısırılan 73 yaşındaki erkek hasta halsizlik, yaygın vücut ve baş ağrısı ve nefes darlığı oluşması üzerine leptospiroz ön tanısı ile yoğun bakıma alındı. Burada Weil hastalığı nedeni ile yoğun bakımımızda takip edilen, ikter, trombositopeni ve akut böbrek yetmezliği ile izlenen bir olgu sunulmuştur.
