Aim: In this study, it was aimed to examine the readiness situations of the e-learning processes of the students who received internet assisted biostatistics education with Moodle, and to evaluate their thoughts and satisfaction.
Materials and Methods: Nineteen students who took undergraduate and graduate courses in Moodle in the 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 academic years have been included in the study. A questionnaire consisting of 10 questions for the purpose of obtaining the personal information of the students and evaluating the system; e-Readiness Scale (ERS) for the e-learning process with 26 questions and the e-Satisfaction Scale (ESS) with 29 questions were used. Cronbach alpha values of the scales were calculated and the raw scores of each factor are converted to standard scores. The Shapiro-Wilk test was used to examine the normality assumption of the scores, and the Mann-Whitney U test was used to evaluate the difference between the group scores.
Results: The Cronbach Alpha coefficient calculated for ERS as 0.878 in undergraduate; and 0.773 for graduate students; and for ESS, 0.866 and 0.934 for undergraduate and graduate students, respectively. Scale scores between undergraduate and graduate students were statistically significantly different only for technical skills factors affecting success. Graduate students had higher total scale scores in both of the scales.
Conclusion: As a result, it was found appropriate to take the existing courses in the Moodle environment; especially visuality property, the ease of accessibility to resources and assignments, the evaluation features, the web-based processing of the course was pleased.
