TERMİNAL İLEUM PERFORATION DUE TO TYPHOID FEVER (REPORT OF 4 CASES)

Abstract

One of the most sehous complications of typhoid fever is perforation resulting from terminal ileum inflammation. The high mortality that takes pla.ce in accordinance with these perforations can be pulled down with early diagnosis, surgical and medical treatment. İn this study, four intestinal perforated typhoid fever cases that we encountered in Ağrı Military Hospital Infectious Diseases Department on April-May 1999 were evaluated. İt is concluded that early diagnosis, suitable medical and surgical approaches together with serious intensive çare is lifesaving.
