ADRENAL MYELOLİPOMA: A CASE REPORT

Abstract

Adrenal myelolipoma is a nonfunctioning benign tumor composed of mature tat tissue associated with proliferating hematopoetic celis. Most of patients with adrenal myelolipoma is generally asymptomatic and can be found incidentaly. Classıc myelolipoma is lucent on plain films, echogenic on ultrasonography, and avascular on angiography. Surgery is indicated if symptoms are present. Aithough treatment of other pathologies which must be considered in differential diagnosis is surgical, surgery is only necessary if the mass is symptomatic in adrenal myelolipoma cases. İn this report we presented the radiological findings of a 60 years old female patient who had a diagnosis of adrenal myelolipoma.
