PAPILLARY CARCINOMA OF THE THYROID İN A MATURE CYSTIC TERATOMA OF THE OVARY : A CASE REPORT

Abstract

Mature cystic teratoma is the most common type of ovarian teratomas and also most frequent tumor originating from germ celis. Malignant transformation is an uncomon complication of mature cystic teratoma. İt occurs in approximately %1-2 of cases. Any of the tissues present in a mature cystic teratoma may undergo malignant transformation. I/Ve presented a 71-year-old woman who has undergone malignant transformation of the mature cystic teratoma that arase in the right ovary and we revvieved the literatüre concerning this case.
