UNILATERAL DIGASTRIC MUSCLE VARIATION: CASE REPORT

Abstract

During the anatomical dissection of the suprahyoid region, the right digastric muscle was found with three bellies in a male cadaver fixed in formalin. This kind of variation can easily be confused with pathologic conditions. Because of this reason, knovvledge of the digastric muscle variations is important when evaluating the floor of the mouth with CT and MR imaging.
