FEMALE GENITAL TUBERCULOSIS: A CASE REPORT

Abstract

Female genital tuberculosis should be given more attention because of the difficulties in its diagnosis and sequels. Suspect must be the first step on the diagnosis. Although the treatment of tuberculosis is well-determined, genital tuberculosis can cause consequential social and economical problems when it is untreated. Early diagnosis is essential to prevent its sequels. This case is discussed in order to emphasize that gynecologists should also remember tuberculosis in differential diagnosis.
