HISTIOCYTOID CARCINOMA OF THE BREAST: A CASE REPORT

Abstract

Histiocytoid carcinoma is a rare type of breast tumor. It was first reported in 1973 by Hood et al. with eyelid metastasis of breast carcinoma. Since then, only isolated cases have been reported and the histogenesis of histiocytoid carcinoma is still controversial. In many reports, it has been considered as a variant of lobular carcinoma. In this report, we described a case of histiocytoid carcinoma in a 74-year-old woman.
