Dyke-Davidoff-Masson syndrome is characterized with facial asymmetry, hemiplegia or hemiparesis, mental retardation, sensorineural hearing loss, psychiatric disorders, epilepsy, cerebral hemiatrophy in neuro-imaging, unilateral thickening of the skull, extensive widening of paranasal sinuses and increase in air levels. Prenatal infection, congenital disorders, birth trauma, brain tumors, febrile seizures and vascular diseases of the brain have been implicated in the etiology of this syndrome.
