Intralobar pulmonary sequestration

Abstract

Pulmonary sequestration is a nonfunctional parenchyma supplied by a systemic artery and has no communication with tracheobronchial tree. It's a congenital pathology which requires surgical resection and can clinically mimic bronchiectasis, pneumonia, pyogenic lung abscess or cavitary lung diseases. In this article, a case of intralobar pulmonary sequestration has been presented, and the relevant literature has been reviewed.
