Abstract

Abstract

Pleural lipomas are benign, slow-growing tumors of soft tissue that arise from the submesothelial layer of the parietal pleura. They are often asymptomatic and detected incidentally on radiography. They have density similar to soft tissue on chest radiography. In our artıcle, a patient detected pleural lıpoma incidentally on chest X-ray was presented with its diagnostic radiological features. Possible diseases that should be considered in differential diagnosis were discussed. Pleural lipomas generally diagnosed with radiological technıque. But, transthoracıc or surgical biopsy is suggested in suspicious cases.
