Yetişkin bireylerin hipertansiyondan korunmaya yönelik tutumları ve etkileyen faktörlerin incelenmesi

Objective: This research was conducted to examine the attitudes of adults towards prevention of hypertension and the factors affecting it. Materials and Methods: The descriptive and cross-sectional study was carried out with 525 individuals aged 18 years and above and without a diagnosis of hypertension who applied to the internal medicine outpatient clinics of XXX University Training and Research Hospital between January and June 2023 for various reasons (cardiology, endocrinology, rheumatology, nephrology, gastroenterology, chest, etc.). The data in the research were collected through face-to-face interviews with the "Individual Introduction Form" and the "Attitudes towards the Prevention of Hypertension (ASPH)". Significance test of the difference between two means, one-way analysis of variance and multiple linear regression model were used to evaluate the data. Results: It was found that 44.4% of the individuals participating in the study were between the ages of 18-30, 52.8% were women, 60% were married, 39.2% were university graduates, and 57.9% had income equal to their expenses. It was found that 66.3% of the individuals participating in the study did not see themselves in the risk group for hypertension, 60.4% had a desire to receive training on preventing hypertension, and 76.2% went to health check-ups on time. It was found that the total mean score of ASPH of the participants was 105.67±12.44. It was found that marital status, education status, income status, mental status, the idea of being in the risk group in terms of hypertension and going to health checkups had a statistically significant effect on the multiple linear regression model established as variables with the scale total score of the participants. It was found that among the variables that had a statistically significant effect on the prevention of hypertension attitude scale scores, the variable with the highest effect was the level of education (standardized β coefficient=-0.201). Conclusion: It was determined that some sociodemographic and health/disease variables had an effect on the participants' attitudes to prevent hypertension. It is thought that it is important to organize individual trainings on hypertension for individuals and to raise awareness of groups at risk in order to develop attitudes towards prevention of hypertension in a positive way.

Amaç: Bu araştırma yetişkin bireylerin hipertansiyondan korunmaya yönelik tutumları ve etkileyen faktörlerin incelenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı ve kesitsel tipteki çalışma, Ocak- Haziran 2023 tarihleri arasında Aksaray Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi dahiliye polikliniklerine (kardiyoloji, endokrinoloji, romatoloji, nefroloji, gastroenteroloji, göğüs vb.) çeşitli nedenlerle başvuran 18 yaş ve üzeri ve hipertansiyon tanısı olmayan 525 bireyle yürütülmüştür. Araştırmadaki verileri, “Birey Tanıtım Formu” ve “Hipertansiyondan Korunma Tutumları Ölçeği (HKTÖ)” ile yüz yüze görüşmeyle toplanmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde, iki ortalama arasındaki farkın önemlilik testi, tek yönlü varyans analizi ve çoklu doğrusal regresyon modelinden yararlanılmıştır. Bulgular: Çalışmaya katılan bireylerin %44,4’ünün yaşı 18-30 aralığında olup, %52,8’i kadın, %60’ı evli, %39,2’si üniversite mezunu ve %57,9’unun gelirlerinin giderlerine eşit olduğu bulunmuştur. Çalışmaya katılan bireylerin %66,3’ü kendisini hipertansiyon açısından riskli grupta görmediği, %60,4’ünün hipertansiyonu önlemek ile ilgili eğitim alma isteğinin olduğu ve %76,2’sinin sağlık kontrollerine zamanında gittiği bulunmuştur. Katılımcıların HKTÖ toplam puan ortalamasının 105,67±12,44 olduğu bulunmuştur. Katılımcıların HKTÖ toplam puanı ile değişkenler olarak kurulan çoklu doğrusal regresyon modeli üzerinde; medeni durum, eğitim durumu, gelir durumu, ruhsal durum, hipertansiyon açısından risk grubunda yer alma düşüncesi ve sağlık kontrollerine gitme durumunun istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı bir etkisinin olduğu bulunmuştur. Hipertansiyondan korunma tutum ölçeği puanları üzerinde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı etkiye sahip olan değişkenler arasında en yüksek etkiye sahip olan değişkenin eğitim düzeyi (standardize edilmiş β katsayısı=-0,201) olduğu bulunmuştur. Sonuç: Katılımcıların hipertansiyondan korunma tutumları üzerinde bazı sosyodemografik ve sağlık/hastalık değişkenlerinin etkisinin olduğu belirlenmiştir. Hipertansiyondan korunmaya yönelik tutumların olumlu yönde gelişmesi için bireylere hipertansiyona yönelik bireysel eğitimlerin düzenlenmesi ve özellikle risk altındaki grupların farkındalığının sağlanmasının önemli olduğu düşünülmektedir.
