lUGR'DE KOMPLİKASYONLARIN ÖNLENMESİNDE DOPPLER UMBİLİKAL VELOSİMETRİNİN ÖNEMİ

Umbilical artery Doppler velocimetry was performed in 20 cases with the clinical diagnosis of intrauterine growth retardation (IUGR) and 40 cases with normal pregnancy as a control group for the evaluation of the fetus. In 17 (85%) of IUGR cases, the fetal birth vveight was belovv 10 percentile. Doppler findings vvere abnormal in 12 of IUGR cases, but no evidence of IUGR was detected at birth in two cases. IUGR cases vvere delivered earlier than the normal cases and the birth weight of the babies vvere lovver. These babies needed longer çare in neonatal intensive çare ünite and neonatal complication vvere more frequent. As a result, umbilical artery Doppler velocimetry can be used as a valuable procedure in the prevention of prenatal fetal complications

Klinik olarak intrauterin gelişme geriliği (IUGR) tanısı konan 20 olgu ve kontrol grubu olarak aynı gebelik haftalarındaki 40 normal gebede fetusun durumunu değerlendirmek için umbilikal arter Doppler velosimetri incelemesi yapıldı. IUGR olgularının 17:sinde (%85) fetus doğum ağırlığı gebelik yaşına göre 10 persantilin altındaydı. IUGR'Ii olguların 12'sinde (%60) Doppler değerlen anormal bulundu, fakat 2'sinde (%10) doğumda IUGR saptanmadı. IUGR olan olgular normal olgulara göre erken doğurtuldu ve bebek doğum ağırlıkları daha düşüktü. Bu bebekler yenidoğan ünitesinde daha uzun süre bakıma ihtiyaç duydular ve neonatal komplikasyonlara daha sık rastlandı. Sonuç olarak, lUGR'de umbilikal arter Doppler velosimetri perinatai fetal komplikasyonların önlenmesinde ve artmış riskin saptanmasında değerli bir yöntem olarak kullanılabilir.
