FAMILY PLANNING BEHAVIOUR AND REPRODUCTIVE HISTORY OF WOMEN APPLYING TO İZMİR KONAK MATERNITY HOSPITAL FOR INDUCED ABORTION

Abstract

One of the outcomes of unintended (mistimed or unvvanted) pregnancies due to under- or ineffective utilization of family planning methods is induced abortion. This study was carried out on women applying to İzmir Konak Maternity Hospital for induced abortion during May 2002. Our aim was to find out how the willingness to the pregnancies wouid affect both the application for induced abortion and the family planning behavior. 155 of 205 women were interviewed In this descriptive study.
